Chef Joe is always concerned for the health and well-being of humanity and that is why today he has selected only the healthiest products for his meal. After acquiring ingredients from Trade Fair, Chef Joe began by sauteeing sweet italian sausage on low heat with olive oil. Low heat was used to maintain the healthy mono and poly unsaturated fats found in olive oil. As well all know, sauteeing at a high heat level denatures these fats and turns them into your ordinary heart killers.
After the sausage was apporpriately cooked, a pre-prepared award winning combination of marinara and basil was placed in the pot with sausage, absorbing the vibrant flavors that were released from the sweet italian sausage. This pot was set aside. While preparing the sausage whole wheat spaghetti was boiled for 8 minutes to perfection. As a reminder, 1 serving of whole wheat spaghetti can contain as much as 26% of your daily value of fiber. Broccoli was also steamed to retain nutrients and serve as a wonderfully nutritious side meal.
The prepared sauce was poured over the pasta and served with the broccoli. Drink of choice is green tea.
